Abstract
Objective: To investigate the mechanism of Yangweining in treating gastric ulcer. Methods: Four kinds of rat models of gastric ulcer induced by indomethancin, aspirin, glacial acetic acid (HAC) and ligating pylorus respectively were used to observe the therapeutic effect of Yangweining. The effect on gastric acid secretion, acidity and pepsin was tested. HAC of 0.6% and electric stimulation were used in mice to determine the antalgic effect of Yangweining. Results: Yangweining markedly decreased the ulcer area of gastric ulcer, inhibited gastric acid secretion in rats and lowered acidity and had significant analgic effect. Conclusion: Yangweining could treat gastric ulcer, which might be related with inhibiting gastric acid secretion and protecting the gastric mucosa from injury, increasing gastric mucosal blood flow.
