Abstract

Objective The aim of our study was to investigate the role of the coagulation and fibrinolysis function change in human acute pancreatitis and their relations to the severity of the disease. Methods Plasma concentration of the PT,aPTT,INR,Fbg and D-dimer(D-D)were measured in 21 patients with mild acute pancreatitis(MAP),21 patients with severe acute pancreatitis(SAP)and 20 normal people as the control group. The results of routine laboratory tests,48 h Ranson and 24 h APACHEⅡ scores were all recorded. We attempted to find a relationship between the level of coagulation and fibrinolysis parameters and the results of routine laboratorytests,48 h Ranson scores,24 h APACHEⅡ scores. Results ① Compared with the MAP group, the concentration of white blood count, tirlyceride, serum glucose,creatinine,48 h Ranson and 24 h APACHE Ⅱ scores was much higher in SAP patients(P0.05).The level of hematocrit, albumin and serum calcium was higher in the SAP group(P0.05).② Compared with the control group, plasma concentration of the PT,aPTT,INR,Fbg(P0.05)and D-D(P0.05)was higher in MAP patients. The parameters above in the SAP group was much higher than the MAP group(P0.05).③ The rise in the level of PT,aPTT,INR,Fbg and D-D was directly related to the 48 h Ranson(P0.05)and 24 h APACHEⅡ scores(P0.05).Conclusion Coagulation and fibrinolysis function change in human acute pancreatitis are related to the disease severity.
