Newmark's approaches of translation and Bassnette's cultural translation theory have their dissimilarities as w ell as similarities.This paper will firstly deal with their dissimilarities as well as similarities.A comparative study of Newmark's approaches of translation and Bassnette's cultural translation theory aims at thorough and deep recognition and comprehension of the two translation theorists and their theories.
