Preparation of Low Formaldehyde Release UF Resin with Low Cost

Abstract

A low toxicity ureaformaldehyde (UF) resin has been formulated by using a new technology without increasing the production cost. Test results showed not only the quality of the adhesive meets the requirements of National Standard GB/T 1473293, but also the bonding strength of plywood from Populus bolleana wood bonded with it is above 1.0 MPa. Furthermore, the board formaldehyde emission content also meets National Standard GB 185802001 E2 level.
