Abstract
The new urea formaldehyde resin for plywood was developed, by using a specifically designed, advanced synthesis process with two modifiers added in its final stage. The test results showed that the properties of the resin met the requirements of the National Standard GB/T 14732—1993 Wood adhesives: urea-formaldehyde, phenol-formaldehyde and melamine formaldehyde resins , and the formaldehyde emission of plywood glued by the resin met the requirements of Grade E1 / E0.
