Abstract

Objective:To observe the curative effect of the ethanolic estract from Potentilla chinensis(PS) on rat hepatic fibrosis and to discuss it saction mechanism. Methods:The rat hepatic fibrosis model was made with 40% Carbon Tetrachloride(CCl4)0.5mL/100g intraperitoneal injection.PS treatment group was treated with PS5g/(kg·d)intragastric administration. The content Changes of hepatic function, blood hyaluronateacid(HA),superoxidedismutes(SOD) and malondialdehyde(MDA),and the hepatic microstructure changes were observed. Results:PS treatment group Compared with model control group, the alkalinephosphatase(ALP),MDA and HA lowered obviously(P0.01 and P0.05),the serum albumin(ALB) and SOD heightened obviously(P0.01),and the hepatic fibrosis degree lightened under lightmicroscope. Conclusion:PS has the action of protecting liver and delaying hepatic fibrosis formation, the mechanism maybe related with its santioxidation.
