Tengcha Flavonoids on Rat Hepatic Fibrosis Induced by Carbon Tetrachloride

Abstract

Objective To explore the mechanism of tengcha flavonoids's(TCF) resistive effects on hepatic fibrosis. Methods Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats were randomly divided into five groups which include control group,model group and treatment group(including high doses group,medium doses,low doses group).The model of hepatic fibrosis was induced by hypodermical injection of carbon tetrachloride(CCL4) in rats.After 12 weeks,the level of hyaluronic acid(HA),laminin(LN),procolagen type Ⅲ(PCⅢ) and collagen type Ⅳ(CⅣ) in serum were measured,the contents of SOD and MDA in hepatic tissues were analysed by using colorimetry and improved TBA colorimetry.Results TCF could reduce the serum level of HA,LN,PCⅢ and CⅣ,the SOD activity of TCF group rose clearly,MDA decreased obviously(P0.01). Conclusion TCF can prevent the hepatic fibrosis in rats through decreasing lipid peroxidation and preventing oxidation to injury anti-oxidase.
