Abstract
The technology of exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) was studied in a turbocharged directinjected diesel engine in order to reduce NO_(x) emissions.The effects of different EGR rate on the performance and emission of the engine were researched in 13mode tests and the optimum EGR rates were determined to meet the requirements of power,economy and emissions.Through an electronic control system,the EGR rate of 13mode tests was controlled automatically.The engine dynamometer test results show that the EGR system is effective.
