Effects of Xuezhikang on Treatment of Primary Hyperlipidemia

Objective To evaluate the effect of Xuezhikang on the patients with primary hyperlipidemia.Methods 84 patients with primary hyperlipidemia were divided into treatment (Xuezhikang) group(n=42) and control group (Inositol hexanicotinate)(n=42).Treatment group was given Xuezhi kang 2 capsules every time,b.i.d, control group was given inositol hexanicotinate 200mg/time,t.i.d for 8 weeks.The serum levels of lipidemia were detected before and after treatment.Results The serum levels of TG,TC both decreased (P0.01),HDL-C were increased in both of two groups(P0.01),compared the difference (d) of TC,TG and TC-HDL-C/HDL-C before and after treatment,the effect of treatment group dereasing TC,TG and HC-HDL-ch/HDL-ch is obvious better than that of control group,so does its effect of increasing HDL-ch..Conclusion Xuezhikang is an effective and safe lipidmodulator with less side-effects.
