Abstract

Objective:To observe the effect of Simvastatin in the treatment of unstable angina pectoris.Methods:78 patients with UAP were randomly divided into two groups, the control group received conventional treatment, the treatment group were based on control group plus Simvastatin, the initial dose of 10 mg,once daily, according to patients, symptoms adjusted 1 dose every 4 weeks, maximum 40 mg,the treatment course was 4 months. Results:In the treatment group,15 cases had marked effect,22 cases had effect, and 2 cases without effect, the total efficiency was 94.87%;in the control group,8 cases had marked effect,21 cases had effect, and 10 cases without effect, the total efficiency was 94.87%,there were significant differences between two groups(P0.05).Conclusion:Simvastatin significantly improve clinical symptoms in patients with UAP,there is no apparent side-effect in the treatment,so plus Simvastatin on the basis of conventional therapy can significantly improve the efficacy.
