Abstract

Objective To establish a sensitive and specific HPLC method for quality control of Salviae Miltiorrhiza Radix et Rhizoma. Methods HPLC was applied for quality assessment of Salviae Miltiorrhiza Radix et Rhizoma.HPLC analysis was performed under the following conditions: Hanbon C18 column(250 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm),binary gradient mobile phase(10%~90% acetonitrile and 0.1% formic),flow rate(1.0mL min-1),injection volume(20 μL),column temperature(25℃),detection(280 nm). Results The HPLC chromatographic fingerprinting of Salviae Miltiorrhiza Radix et Rhizoma, showing 12 characteristic peaks, was established from prepared samples of Salviae Miltiorrhiza Radix et Rhizoma. Conclusion The established HPLC fingerprint method was accurate and reliable, which could be used for the quality control of Salviae Miltiorrhiza Radix et Rhizoma and its prepared Samples.
