Abstract

Objective To study the relationship between expression of tissue factor (TF)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and clinical pathology in breast cancer. Methods The expression of TF and VEGF in 41 cases of breast cancer was detected by immunohistochemistry S-P method. Results ①The positive rate of TF and VEGF and the co-expressive positive rate of TF and VEGF were higher in the patients with lymphatical metastasis, distant metastasis and lower histological grade than those without (P0.05). ②Expression of TF and VEGF was not related to patient's age. Conclusion The expression of TF and VEGF has a close relationship with invasion and metastasis in breast cancer. TF and VEGF are good biology indexes indicating their potential ability of development and metastasis, and are the important prognosis indexes of breast cancer. Their expression can also explain the role of TF in the tumor angiogenesis.
