A study on the rhyming of the poetry by Zhang Lei (张耒) in Northern Song Dynasty

Abstract
The paper studies the rhyming in the classical-style poetry of Zhang Lei who lived in the late of Northern Song Dynasty. In classical-style poetry, there are a few cross-rhyming in Yin-Sheng-Yun(阴声韵) and cross-rhyming among -m、-n and -N in Yang-Sheng-Yun(阳声韵) in different level. A few labial initial characters You-Hou(尤侯) rhyme category have changed into Yu-Mu(鱼模) rhyme category. And there are many cross-rhyming in Ru-Sheng-Yun(入声韵) that do not belong to the same Yun-She(韵摄). The paper concludes that the rhyme feature of Zhang lei reflects the phonetic characteristic of Jiang-Huai Mandarin(江淮官话).
