Clinical observation on the effect of purified Vero cell rabies vaccine for human use

Objective To observe the Immune protective effect and the safety of purified rabies vaccine freezing-dried for human use prepared with monkey's kidney.Methods 240 cases bitten by dogs were chosen from outpatient and divided into two Experimental groups treatment with purified freezing-dried vero cell rabies vaccine and control group treated with purified rabies vaccine prepared with shrewmouse kidney cell according to the conventional procedures.The level of neutral antibody was determined fifteen days after inoculation and the side effect was also observed.Results The positive rate of antibody in experiment group was 96.7%,higher than that of 90.0% in the control group(P0.05).The side effect rate in the experiment group was 10.8% lower than that of 21.7% in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion The positive conversion rate of antibody in experimental group after immunized with purified vero cell rabies vaccine for human use is high and superior to the purified shrewmouse kidney cell rabies vaccine,and suitable for popularization.
