Clinical Observation on the Treatment by Hemoperfusion Combined with Hemodialysis for Uremia Pruritus in Patients with Uremia

Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of the treatment by HP-HD(Hemoperfusion combined with hemodialysis) on uremia pruritus in patients with uremia.Methods After eight weeks treatment by HP-HD,20 patients with uremia were observed on their improvement of the symptoms of uremia pruritus,and were determined on their blood β2-MG,PTH before and after treatments.Results The combined treatment could alleviate the symptom of skin pruritus,the pruritus score decreased from 26.15±7.09 to 17.38±5.18,blood β2-MG eliminated from(20.73±4.12) mg/L to(10.22±2.62)mg/L and PTH from(298.3±122.35) ng/L to(186.9±103.5)ng/L(all P0.05).Conclusion Hemoperfusion combined with hemodialysis can effectively eliminate uremic and improve symptoms of skin pruritus.
