Abstract

In The Book of History,Sima Qian presents his political thoughts through historic characters,and probes into the patterns of the regulation and devastation of countries through the narration of historical events,so as to provide reference for then politicians.Sima Qian hopes to present his political thoughts through the depiction of history,which perfectly reflects the political issues and the pursuits of Sima Qian.In Sima Qian viewpoints,history is just a tool,with politics being the destination.Therefore,The Book of History is more the reflection of Sima Qian's political viewpoints than a book.
