Abstract
Objective:To investigate the chemical constituents of Polygonum perfoliatum L.Methods: The chemical constituents of P.perfoliatum L.were isolated by chromatography on silica gel and Sephadex LH-20.The structures of compounds were identified by physicochemical properties and spectral analyses(MS and NMR).Results: Twelve compounds were isolated and identified as quercetin(1),isorhamnetin(2),hyperrosid(3),quercitrin(4),protocatechuic acid(5),gallic acid(6),ellagic acid(7),3,3′-di-O-methyl ellagic acid(8),1-O-galloyl-β-D-glucose(9),mucic acid dimethyl ester-2-O-gallate(10),ethyl caffeate(11) and mucic acid dimethyl ester(12).Conclusion: Compounds 10 and 12 were isolated from the genus Polygonum for the first time.Compounds 2,3,7,8,9 were obtained from the title plant for the first time.
