Abstract

Objective:To investigate the the efficacy and safety of low-dose omeprazole in the treatment of functional dyspepsia(FD).Methods:96 patients with FD were randomly divided into 2 groups.48 cases were treated with oral low-dose omeprazole(study group),10 mg,qd;and the other 48 cases were treated with oral domperidone(control group),10 mg,tid. Both the course of treatment were 2 weeks. The symptom improvement and adverse reactions were observed in all patients. Results:The symptom scores of stomach burning, postprandial fullness, epigastric pain, belching both in the observation group and control group were significantly improved than before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant. The total effective rate was 68.9% in the observation group, and 70.8% in the control group, and the difference was not statistically significant. The incidence of adverse reactions in the control group was high-er than that in the observation group(P0.01).Conclusion:Low-dose omeprazole shows better effect and fewer adverse reaction in treat-ment of FD,which should be of clinical application.
