Clinical Effects of Levamlodipine Combined With Perindopril On Treating Type 2 Diabets Complicated by Hypertension and Early Renal Function Lesion

Objective To study the effect of a long-acting calcium antagonist(levamlopine) combined with an angiotensin converting enzyme(ACE) inhibitor(perindopril) on type 2 diabets complicated by hypertension and early renal function lesion. Methods Fifty-one patients with diabetic nephropathy were ramdonly divided into three groups and treated by double blind methed within 12 weeks,(1)levamlopine 2.5 mg qd(17 patients),(2) perindopril 4 mg qd(17 patients),(3)two drugs in combination(17 patients).If the blood pressure measured has remained 140/90 mmHg after treatment for 2 weeks,the dosage should be rejusted to levamlopine 5 mg and perindopril 6-8 mg. Results During treatment with drug,the blood pressures in(1) and(2) groups were significantly lowered(P0.01),and their albuminurea was also decreased(P(0.05).)The drops in blood pressure and albuminuria were more pronounced in group(3)(P0.01). Conclusion The effect of levamlopine combined with perindopril on treating hypertension and early renal function lesion in type 2 diabetes patients is proved more effective.
