Abstract

A simple and sensitive HPLC method for the determination of resveratrol in the roots of Polygonum cuspidatum was described, including the pretreatment of samples by polyamide column. The HPLC system consists of a reverse-phase C 18 Hypersil column (4.6 mm×200 mm) and a mobile phase of methanol-water(35∶65), with UV detective wavelength being 300 nm. The results showed that the calibration curve was linear in the range of 0.4~2.0 μg with r =0.9998 and the recovery was 98.19%.
