Initial Experience of Laparoscopic Operation in Treatment of Ectopic Pregnancy

Objective To analyse the surgical outcome and explore the indication and major techniques of laparoscopic operation in treatment of ectopic pregnancy. Methods 19 patients who had ectopic pregnancy with the menolipsis time from 35 to 74 days were enrolled in this study. The mean time of menolipsis was 48 days. All patients were made laparoscopic operation under trachea anaesthesia. Results All the operations were successful. No severe complications were met during operation. The operative time was 62±17 min.The dosage of analgesic (Tramal) was 100±12 mg and the mean hospital time was 4 days(ranged from 3 to 8 days). No postoperative complications occurred in all cases during 2 months to 7 months follow-up. Conclusion Laparoscopic operation is safe and effective on treatment of ectopic pregnancy. However, it requires laparoscopic training.
