Abstract
[Objective] In order to determine the optimal method of purification saponins in Gynostemma pentaphyllum Shexianense by macroporus resin. [Method] The performance of static adsorption and desorption for saponins among five macroporus resins( HP-20,D101,AB-8,DM130 and HPD100) were evaluated. [Result]AB-8 resin showed best,its equilibrium adsorption was 5. 01 mg / g and the rate of desorption was 91. 1%. The dynamic desorption experiments of AB-8 showed that most gypenosides were desorpted in 70% ethanol,while the flow rate was 1 BV / h. Under the optimal condition the returns ratio was 92. 33% and the purity of gypenosides was 78. 6%. [Conclusion] AB-8macroporus resin is suitable for purification of saponins in Gynostemma pentaphyllum Shexianense for its higher adsorption and desorption rate and its excellent regenerability.
