The Relationship between Serum Antibody to Heat Shock Protein60of Helicobacter Pylori and Peptic Ulcer

Abstract

Objective:To investigate the relationship between serum antibody to heat shock protein60in Helicobacter pylori(Hp)infection and the occurrence of peptic ulcer.Methods:Hp infection and serum antiˉbody to heat shock protein60of Hp was detected in patients with gastric or duodenal ulcer and chronic superˉficial gastritis.Results:(1)Serum antibody to heat shock protein60of Hp was only positively expressed in Hp infected patients.Prevalence of serum antibody to heat shock protein60of Hp was significantly higher in Hp infected peptic ulcer than that in Hp infected chronic superficial gastritis(P0.05).(2)Seven of26cases of peptic ulcer with positive serum antibody to heat shock protein60of Hp underwent a negative serum converting of the antibody at the4th week after Hp eradication and Losec treatment.Conclusion:Serum antibody to heat shock protein60of Hp is probably associated with the occurrence of peptic ulcer in Hp infection.Serum antiˉbody to heat shock protein60of Hp can not be used to assess recent Hp eradication.
