Several Measures to Improve Teaching Performances of Young Teachers in Laboratory Animal Science

Laboratory animal science is an applicational course, which needs to have good theoretical knowledge, strong operation ability and better communication strain capacity. Developping a detailed training plan and improving the training evaluation mechanisms to improve the ability of teaching for new teachers is a long-term exploratory task. The professional standards and teaching ability for the young teacher was improved effectively basing on the fundamental principles of our department, through improving training plan for young teachers, optimizing mentoring mechanism between old and new teachers, establishing the trial teaching and class supervision mechanism for young teachers, improving the communication mechanism between teachers and students, encouraging to learn modern information tools to enrich teaching methods, improving teaching quality assessment system for new teachers and other initiatives. The teaching teamrelied mainly on young teachers is established and the quality of teaching laboratory animal science has been effectively guaranteed, which laying the foundation for future laboratory animal science teaching reform.
