Therapeutic effect of Butylphthalide on patients with acute ischemic stroke

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Butylphthalide on patients with acute ischemic stroke.Methods 68 patients with ischemic stroke,enrolled within 48h of onset,were allocated to Butylphthalide group(n=36) or control group(n=32) randomly.Butylphthalide was taken at a dose of 0.2,four times a day,for 14 days,Meanwhile,Xuesetong and Aspirin were taken as basic trentment.The therapies of control group were similar to those of Butylphthalide group except for Butylphthalide.The NIHSS and ADL were evaluated before and during trentment respectively.Result After treatment,There were signnifican difference in both two groups in the NIHSS and ADL(P0.05).There were also signnifican difference in effective rate between Butylphthalide group and control group(P0.05).There were no distinct adverse reaction in Butylphthalide group.Conclusion Butylphthalide is effective and safety on treatment of patients with acute ischemic stroke.
