Butylphthalide in the treatment of brain infarction:report of 30 cases

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of butylphthalide in the treatment of acute brain infarc- tion.Methods 60 patients with acute brain infarction were randomly classified into two groups.Group A consisted of 30 patients,which were treated by butylphthalide and routine methods.Group B consisted of 30 patients,which were treated by routine methods.Results The percentage of the treatment efficacy in two groups was 90 % and 60 % respectively.There was statistical difference between group A and group B(P0.05).Conclusion Butylphthalide has obvious clinical effects in the treatment of acute brain infarction.
