Abstract

Objective:To explore the diagnosis and treatment of acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS)secondary to severe multiple trauma.Methods:The clinical data were retrospectively examined in 36 cases with ARDS resulted from severe multiple trauma.Results:Of the 36 patients,6 died from multiple organ failure,with case fatality rate of 16.67%.Conclusion:Life saving of this case relies greatly on early diagnosis,timely therapy assistance with lung ventilator,improvement of gastrointestinal function and active treatment of the primary disease.
