Weng Tong-he and Politics in the Late Qing Dynasty

Weng Tong-he ever was the imperial master of Tong Zhi and Emperor Guang Xu in the late Qing Dynasty, and his official career was recorded as a Recenue ministry, Judiciary ministry and Works ministry Shangshu, Grand minister, Prime minister and a vice premier (Xiebandaxueshi). He joined many important politics in late Qing Dynasty, such as the Chinese-Gallo War of 1883-1885, the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895 and the Reform Movement of 1898, so he was an important minister in politics in late Qing Dynasty. During his official career, his politics was similar to or different with ones of Empress Dowager Cixi, Emperor Guang Xu, Li Hong-zhang, Rong Lu and Gang Yi and so on. His life was overall patriotic when being the anxiety, followed the trail of era, and grew with each passing hour.
