Expression and Clinical Significance of Livin and in Caspase-9 in Gastric Carcinoma

Objective To investigate the expression and the clinical significance of Livin and Caspase-9 in gastric carcinoma.Methods 56 cases were selected separately in gastric carcinoma and normal gastric mucous membrane in evaluate the expressions of Livin and Caspase-9 by immunohistochemical technique.Results The rate of positive expression of Livin and Caspase-9 in gastric carcinoma was seperately 68%、18%and had significant difference compared with normal gastric mucous membrane(seperately 5.4%,62.5%,P0.05).The rate of positive expression of Livin gradually increased along with advancement of gastric carcinoma pathological change,while Caspase -9 gradually decreased along with advancement of gastric carcinoma pathological change and both have significant difference(P0.05).The expression of Livin and Caspase-9 had negative correlation in tissue specimens. Conclusion Livin and Caspase-9 might play an important role in occurrence and development of the gastric carcinoma。They perhapes became molecule marker or new molecule target of the gastric cancer therapeutic.
