Abstract
Objective To investigate the mechanism of complications with polyacrylamide hydrogel injected for augmentation mammoplasty and reliable treatment means. Methods The materials of 62 cases were reviewed, all the patients experienced different kinds of complications after polyacrylamide hydrogel injection for augmentation mammoplasty and the means of treatment of complications. Results 62 patients suffered from complications such as infection, hematoma, nodule formation etc. Satisfactory clinical treatment results have been obtained. Conclusion Complications of augmentation mammoplasty injected with polyacrylamide hydrogel mainly result from operative procedure and proper treatment always lead to excellent clinical results.
