Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of C reactive protein(CRP)and soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1(sICAM-1)and soluble vascular cell adhesion molecule-1(sVCAM-1)in the patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS)in order to find out the difference and their relationship, and the role of those adhesion molecules and CRP in the development of ACS.Methods 252 cardiovascular diseases patients were divided into two groups. The samples of 86 patients with ACS were taken on admission,166 patients with non-ACS was used for comparison.Serum levels of sICAM-1,sVCAM-1 were measured by using enzyme liked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).CRP was also measured by immunoturbidimetric assay. Results The levels of sICAM-1,sVCAM-1 and CRP in ACS group were significantly higher than those of control group(P0.01),and the levels of sICAM-1,sVCAM-1 and CRP in UA,STAMI and NSTAMI groups were also obviously higher than those of control group(P0.01).Conclusion The levels of sICAM-1,sVCAM-1 and CRP in ACS group are higher than those of control group, which indicate that the three factors influence the development of cardiovascular disease and involve in the pathogenesis of coronary heart disease(CHD).To test the levels of three subjects in the blood may be a new way to assess cardiovascular disease risk.
