Abstract
Benzaldehyde glycol acetal was synthesized from benzaldehyde and glycol in the presence of H3PW6Mo6O40/SiO2 as catalyst. The optimal reaction conditions were screened by orthogonal test method. The yield of benzaldehyde glycol acetal can reach 79.6% under the optimum reaction conditions that benzaldehyde is 0.2mol,molar ratio of benzaldehyde to glycol is 1.0∶1.5,the quantity of catalyst is 1.0%,the reaction time is 45min and the cyclohexane as carrying-water reagent is 12mL.
