Result The diabetes disease-related knowledge and control of blood glucose were significantly better in the experimental group than those of control group (P0.01 or P0.001). Conclusion Diabetes health education via short message service can not only help the patients to master the disease-related knowledge and skills, but also improve their self management awareness.
