Abstract
[Objective]The aim was to popularize the new late and high yield japonica rice variety Xuanjing 9397.[Method] The breeding process,yield performance,characteristic and cultivation techniques of Xuanjing 9397 were introduced.[Result] Xuanjing 9397 was a new late japonica rice variety bred with cross between Xiangjing 9325 and Wanjing 97 and system selection by Xauncheng Institute of Agricultural Science,and examined and approved by Crop Variety Examine and Approve Committee of Anhui provice.Xuanjing 9397 showed excellent on various aspects and its cultivation techniques regulations should be abided in planting.[Conclusion] This variety is suitable to be planted as double late japonica rice in Anhui province.
