Abstract

A new late-season japonica rice variety,E-wan No.17was bred.It had characteristics of high yield,good quality and multiple resistances.Its grains had aroma and reached the frist-class standards of fine quality japonica rice issued by China.It was registered by Hubei Crop Variety Approval Committee in Mach,2005.Its breeding procedure,major characteristics and cultivation techniques were introduced in this paper.
