Abstract
Objective: To observe the long-term therapeutic effect of Montelukast on bronchial asthma. Methods: Forty patients with bronchial asthma were enrolled and divided into treatment group and control group randomly. The patients in control group were treated with inhaled corticosteroid(ICS)(10 mg/d) and long acting β2-agonist(LABA),and those in treatment group were added Montelukast. Both of the groups were inhaled short-acting β2-agonists and given oxygen therapy. Results: The effective rate of treatment group was higher than that of control group(90.0% vs 85.0%,P0.05).Conclusion: Montelukast is an effective and safe treatment method to bronchial asthma and worthy to clinical application.
