Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the clinical value of intermittent gastric lavage in the treatment of severe organophosphorus pesticide poisoning. Methods:64cases(the group of gastric lavage) of severe organophosphorus pesticide poisoning were treated by routine regimen and intermittent gastric lavage. The results were compared with another 64 cases(the control group) treated only by routine regimen. Results: The incidence rates of atropine poisoning and recurrence of pesticide poisoning were significantly lower in patients of gastric lavage group(P0.05). Conclusion: The method of gastric lavage intermittently by gastric intubation can exclude the residued organophosphorus pesticide in the body, decrease the reabsortion of the poison and increase the rescured rate.
