Abstract

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of HCPT,low dose DDP and 5_FU continuous infusion for treatment of advanced gastric cancer. Methods A total of 36 patients were enrolled in the trial.HCPT 10 mg by intravenous titration d1~5,DDP 6mg/(m 2·d) by intravenous titration during the first day to the fifth day every week,5_Fu 0.25/(m 2·d) every day by continuous infusion for 3 weeks, every 31 days,Each patient was given at least 2 cycles. Results A complete response was observed in 2 cases and a partial response in 16 cases, and overall response rate of 50.0%.Toxic effects included nausea, leukopenia and vomiting,Main side effects were grade Ⅰ~Ⅱ.Conclusion This study confirmed that combination chemotherapy with HCPT,low dose DDP and 5_Fu continuous infusion is a safe and effective regimen for patients with advanced gastric cancer and is worthy of further clinical trial.
