The Evaluation on The Sustainable Development Capacity in Gansu Province

It is characterized by severe ecological environment of weak infrastructure condition and low natural condition in Gansu Province.In recent years,with economic development and population increasing,the contradictions which the water,the land and the minerals are insufficient become more and more prominent,the resources restraint is more and more serious,realizing the economic,social and resource environment sustainable development of Gansu Province is more and more urgent.In this paper,the provinces surrounding the Gansu Province and several developed provinces are chosen as the consulted objects.With the piont of regional sustainable development,the sustainable development index system is set up,and the model of principal components is applied to evaluate the sustainable development capacity of Gansu and the consulted objects,the differences between Gansu and other provinces are studied.Finally,the strategies of the sustainable development are put forward.
