On the Development of Resource-based Industry of Gansu Province

Resource-based industry,as the major economic impetus of Gansu province,has greatly promoted the economic development and urbanization of Gansu province,but also led to serious environmental pollution and ecological deterioration.Using shift-share-analysis method,this paper conducts an empirical analysis upon 13 trades out of the resource-based industry in Gansu province between 2005-2009,examines thoroughly its advantages in structure and competitiveness,and puts forward suggestions and tactics with regard to the sustainable development of resource-based industry of Gansu.
