Clinical study of Danzhi Xiaoyao pill in treating hyperthyroidism induced liver injury

Objective To observe clinical therapeutic effects of Danzhi Xiaoyao pill in treating hyperthyroidism induced liver injury.Methods 70 patients with hyperthyroidism induced liver injury were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.Patients in two groups received the fundamental treatment.35 cases in control group received 100 mg Methidathion tablet,thrice a day.Danzhi Xiaoyao pill and 50 mg Methidathion tablet were employed in the treatment group three times a day.The course of treatment lasted for 1 month.Afterwards,liver function,thyroid function,symptoms were observed before and after the treatment.Results The levels of FT3 and FT4 after treatment were decreased in two groups(P0.05),TSH was increased(P0.05).There was significant difference between two groups on FT3,FT4 and TSH(P0.05).The levels of ALT,AST,γ-GT,ALP and TBiL after treatment were decreased as compared with those before treatment in two groups(P0.05).The improvement in treatment group was superior to that in control group(P0.05).The efficacy of the treatment group in improving traditional Chinese medicine symptoms was better than that of control group(P0.05).The total effective rate in treatment group(85.7%) was higher than that in control group(65.7%,P0.05).The drug rash rate,and leukopenia rate in treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Clinical studies show that basic liver protecting cure combined with Danzhi Xiaoyao pill has good effect in protecting liver,reducing enzymes and improving thyroid function,can effectively improve clinical signs and symptoms,avoid or reduce the adverse reactions of western medicine.
