Abstract

Objective To study the association of lipoprotein lipase Ser447stop gene polymorphisms with cerebral hemorrhage. Methods Use a PCR-RFLP to detect 135 subjects lipoprotein lipase Ser447stop genotypes(including 66 controls and 69 cerebral hemorrhage patients). All the subjects'serum lipids and apolipoproteins levels were detected. Results The cerebral hemorrhage group carried less CG genotype and G allele than the control group. The cerebral hemorrhage group had higher TG and LDL-c levels than the control group(P0.01);and the cerebral hemorrhage group had lower CHO,Apo AⅠ and ApoB levels than the control group(P0.01).The CC genotype had higher LDL-c level than CG genotype. Conclusions The lipoprotein lipase Ser447stop G allele is correlated with cerebral hemorrhage and the Ser447 stop polymorphism of the LPL gene may be a protective factor against the development of cerebral hemorrhage.
