Abstract
Objective To discuss the clinical effect of glass fiber post to repair front teeth residual roots and crowns. Methods To choose 104 cases front teeth with the residual roots and crowns,192 teeth, and after the perfect root canal treatment, all used post-core crown restoration. The patients were randomly divided into research group and control group:the research group of 54 patients,96 teeth, used glass fiber posts, and the control group of 50 patients,96 teeth, used cast metal posts.Follow-up two years after treatment, success rates of treatment were observed. Results All patients completed treatment.Follow-up two years, the success rate of the research group was 96.9% and that of the control group was 87.5%,and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).The main failure of two groups was in the mandibular teeth. Conclusion The clinical repair effect of glass fiber post repairing front teeth residual roots and crowns is good in recently, but the long-term clinical efficacy needs to be studied.
