Abstract
Objective To observe the influence of vitamin D3 on blood pressure and renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system(RAAS) in spontaneous hypertensive rats. Methods Twenty spontaneous hypertensive rats were randomly divided into two groups, with 10 rats in each group. The experimental group was intraperitoneally injected 3 μg/(kg·d) vitamin D3 for totally 7 days, which was dissolved in 100 μL propylene glycol.Control group was only injected 100 μL propylene glycol for 7 days.Blood pressure was continuously observed after drug intervention. All rats were sacrificed one week or three weeks later respectively.Serum and organization samples were collected.Serum 25(OH) D3,calcium,parathyroid hormone, renin, angiotensin Ⅱ and aldosterone concentration were detected with ELISA technique. Results The blood pressure of the experimental group was 14 mm Hg lower than that in control group one week later(P0.01).The 25(OH)D3 level and calcium concentration were higher in experimental group((156.00±28.50) ng/mL and(59.00±7.67) ng/mL) than those in control group((2.28±0.17) mmol/L and(2.06±0.12) mmol/L)(P0.05).Renin,angiotensin Ⅱ and parathyroid hormone concentration were lower in experimental group than those in control group(P0.05).Three weeks later there were no significant differences in the all above indexes between two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Vitamin D3 can inhibit the synthesis and secretion of renin, inhibit the RAAS system and lower blood pressure.
