Application of Diverse Teaching Methods for Eight-year-program Medical Students in Surgical Skill Training

It is a requirement of the development of higher medical education to enhance essential surgical skills of eight-year-program medical students and cultivate their ability to solve clinical problems.The Department of Surgical Education of Changhai Hospital Affiliated to Second Military Medical University(SMMU) used diverse teaching methods in essential surgical skill training of eight-year-program medical students.They include cooperative teaching,multiple modular system teaching,case-based learning(CBL) and the situational approach of teaching,which have significantly improved medical student's teamwork spirit,creative way of thinking,independent learning and operating ability.
