Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical effect of rosuvastatin treating cerebral infarction complicated with carotid atherosclerotic plaques. Methods 60 patients with cerebral infarction with incidence within 2 weeks were selected in our hospital from January 2010 to December 2012,and they were divided into the control group (n=30) and the observation group (n=30).The control group was given aspirin enteric coated 0.1 g,1 time every day, while the observation group was given the oral rosuvastatin 20 mg/d.Before treatment and after 6 months treatment, serum total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were detected in both groups. And the neck vascular ultrasound examination was used to detect carotid artery intima-media thickness (IMT). Results In the control group, there was no difference in blood lipid before and after treatment (P0.05).In the observation group,TC,TG,LDL-C after treatment were lower than that before treatment, and HDL-C was higher than that before treatment (P0.05),and TC,TG,LDL-C of the observation group were lower than that in the control group, while HDL-C was higher than that in the control group (P0.05).Before treatment, the average carotid artery IMT was (1.59±0.49) mm,it was (1.63±0.43) mm after treatment, and there was no significant difference before and after treatment (P0.05). In observation group, IMT was (1.65±0.39) mm before treament, after treatment,it was (1.09±0.29) mm,and the IMT after treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment, while the IMT in the observation group after treatment was lower than that in the control group (P0.05). Conclusion Rosuvastatin has the effect of lipid-lowering, and it can delay and block the progress of atherosclerosis, stabilize plaque and reduce the incidence of cerebral infarction.
