Abstract
Objective To investigate the antimicrobial resistance of Streptococcus pneumoniae to provide basis for clinical medication. Methods From January 2008 to December 2008,totally 92 clinical isolates of S.pneumoniae were used to determine the susceptibility to 6 antimicrobial agents by K-B disk method. Results The resistance rates of S.pneumoniae was relatively highly to erythromycin、clindamycin、SMZ-TMP,the resistance rates were 87%、82.6%、69.4% respectively.S.pneumoniae was lower resistant to moxifloxacin, only 7.7%.No vancomycin-resistant strain was found. Conclusion The resistance of S.pneumoniae is serious in this hospital, and penicillin-resistant S.pneumoniae was increasing continuously,it is necessary to monitor its resistance of S.pneumoniae, and provide clinical guidelines for the rational use of antimicrobial agents.
