Abstract
Objective To discuss the influences of low-dose estrogen replacement therapy on peri-menopausal symptoms and hormone levels. Methods A total of 120 patients with perimenopausal syndromes were randomly divided into two groups,60 cases in each group. The treatment group received low-dose estrogen, while the control group received medroxyprogesterone acetate. The indexes such as estradiol(E),follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH),bone mineral density, menopausal syndrome scores, vaginal scores, endometrial thickness and complications of two groups were observed. Results The levels of E,FSH,LH,bone mineral density, menopausal syndrome scores and vaginal scores in two groups increased significantly after treatment, but there was no significant difference between two groups. The incidence rate of adverse reactions in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group. Conclusion The curative effect of low-dose estrogen replacement therapy in the treatment of perimenopausal symptoms is remarkable. It can significantly improve menopausal symptoms, and has fewer adverse reactions,so it is suitable for clinical application.
