Study on the content determination of nystatini in Nystatini Ointment

Abstract

Objective: To establish a simple and sensitive method for determination of nystatini in Nystatini Ointment.Methods: UV-Vis Spectrophotometry was used to determine nystatini in Nystatini Ointment,the detective wavelength was 319 nm.Results: A good linearity was obtained over the range of 36.06-84.15 U/ml(r=0.999 6) for nystatini.The average recovery was 100.4%,and the RSD was 0.6%.Conclusion: The method is simple,rapid and accurate for quantitative analysis.
