The clinical analysis of Yiqi run chang decoction in the treatment of senile constipation in 50 cases

Abstract
Objective To analyze the curative effect and safety of Yiqi run chang decoction on senile constipation.Methods 100 patients with senile constipation were randomly divided into the control group(n=50) and the observation group(n=50) from September 2009 to August 2012 in our hospital.The control group was treated with oral administration of mosapride citrate,and the observation group was given oral self-made Yiqi Runchang decoction,and they were treated for 15 days.The clinical curative effect and the incidence of adverse reaction of the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate in the observation group(94.00%) was significantly higher than that(84.00%) in the control group,and the incidence of adverse reaction in the observation group(8.00%) was lower than that(16.00%) in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Treating senile constipation using Yiqi run chang decoction can achieve good curative effect and safety,and it is worthy of promotion and application.
